Give Yourself a Spa Facial at Home. There’s no need to head to spa to get a wonderful facial to help treat acne breakouts. Why not try making your own homemade aspirin face mask right at home and save yourself some money? Aspirin is a form of salicylic acid which is a proven ingredient that helps reduce and lessen the occurrence of acne. In a crush form, aspirin can also help to exfoliate your skin and get rid of the dead skin cells that are blocking your face from looking the best it can.

Use this homemade aspirin face mask to help treat your acne 2-3 times a month and you will see brighter skin with less acne breakouts. One thing to remember is that if you have allergies to aspirin when you take it orally, you will not want to put aspirin on your face, as it can sink into your skin and pores and cause an allergic reaction.

Here is how you can make your homemade aspirin face mask.

What You’ll Need:

Washcloths

Your usual face cleanser

6 aspirin tablets

metal spoon

plate or bowl

water

chilled toner

moisturizer

2 cotton pads

Directions:

1. Wash your face with your usual cleanser and pat dry. Don’t use a face cleanser that is for acne though, as it will be too harsh to use with this aspirin face mask.

2. Using the back of a metal spoon, crush the aspirin tablets on a plate or bowl. Add a few drops of water at a time, mixing it well with the crushed aspirin. Stop adding water when you get a thick paste. If you do add too much water, just wait a couple of minutes and the water will evaporate eventually.

3. Rinse a washcloth in warm water and wring it out so it it’s just damp.

4. Cover face with the washcloth. Keep the washcloth on your face until it almost becomes cold.

5. Remove the washcloth and check on the aspirin face mask. If it has become too dry, then add some more water to it until the mask is easy to spread.

6. Use your fingertips to spread the aspirin face mask all over your face. Make sure to avoid getting any in your eyes. Check your face to make sure that you got the aspirin face mask all over your face including the sides of your nose.

7. Dampen two cotton pads with water and cover your eyes for a few minutes. You can relax during this step and you can even lie down for a few minutes.

8. Once the aspirin face mask has dried completely and is crumbly to the touch, wet another washcloth in warm water.

9. Cover your face with the warm washcloth and press down using your fingertips to help remove the mask for your face. Use the rest of the washcloth to remove the aspirin face mask from your whole face. Re-wet the washcloth in warm water if necessary.

10. Apply the chilled toner all over your face. To get your toner chilled, leave it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

11. Apply your moisturizer all over your face, massaging your skin with while applying it.

Do not use this homemade aspirin face mask more than once a week, if that, as it may dry out your skin too much if used to frequently. If you notice that you have an allergic reaction to the aspirin face mask, do not use it again!
