Beauty Product Review. Last month Estee Lauder had a free gift bag with any twenty-five dollar purchase, as they usually do every few months. If you spent fifty dollars, you also received a free face wash of your choice. I chose the Soft Clean Tender Crème Cleanser. It comes in a gorgeous metallic pink bottle, and is intended for use on faces that have issues with dry skin. I use an all-day wear makeup, so it usually requires a good bit of scrubbing every night to get all of the makeup up from the surface.

My typical cycle for removing makeup starts with a rinse, a good scrubbing with my usual face cleanser, and another rinse. The Estee Lauder Soft Clean Cleanser is a little different. You are supposed to massage the cleanser onto a dry face, and wipe off the excess with a tissue. There is no rinsing or scrubbing anywhere throughout this process. I was a bit weary, because I did not expect all of my makeup to blot off onto a tissue.

The cream itself smells wonderful, somewhat like rose petals. It comes out of the tube in a lotion form, and as you massage it into your skin it becomes more of a soufflé texture. On the first day of use, I had to experiment. I massaged the crème into my face, and wiped off the excess with a tissue. It looked like all of my makeup was gone, but I had to put it to the test, and wipe my face off with a white washcloth. I was amazed to find that all of my makeup really was gone. It does feel a little strange to leave the crème on your face all night. I am used to a dry face at bedtime, but the Soft Clean Crème leaves behind a thin layer that feels like lotion. By the morning my face felt very moisturized, and all the excess was gone. I assume it either absorbed into my skin overnight, or rubbed off onto the pillow while I slept.

I continued to use this as my daily face wash for about four days. My skin felt great, but some acne started to develop over my cheeks. I switched back to my old cleanser, and the acne went away, so I’m guessing my face was beginning to get over-moisturized. The Estee Lauder Soft Clean Tender Crème Cleanser is intended for daily use, but I’ve limited use to one or two times per week. It definitely keeps my skin very moisturized, but I would suggest rotating this product with your normal daily face wash. Another alternative would be to wash your face with your daily cleanser, and apply just a touch of the Estee Crème afterwards. This way you will still get a bit of moisture back into your skin, without having a filmy later left behind. In all, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has issues with dry skin!
